Candyland

this is one of my activities in my computer graphics class under photoshop. I know, it sucks. haha but I’m no pro and we were just taught how to cut images and adjust colors so the whole scene looks like it blends together. I don’t know much yet but I had fun with this so I posted my work. haha just wanted to share it with you guys.

You gotta try this Veronese Chocolate flavor from Gelatissimo. It tastes so good. If you love Ferrero, you will go crazy over this.

Modern Classic

I love modern art. It’s fresh, bright, minimal. I also love how graphically rendered art looks like..but, being a multimedia arts student, I realized that going digital isn’t as easy as it looks. You know, some think it is so easy when you have your illustrator or photoshop around, but it’s not. Well, in some ways it is because those are tools that are supposed to make your like easier, but it really takes time and a lot of talent/skill (not to mention patience, especially when your only using your mouse)..

That is my opinion, though..some might find the whole thing very easy. It’s just that, I realized that I’m better at doing some good old painting, with canvas and all..or illustrating with my pen.

Not so long ago, I came across an artist named Tara Mcpherson. I fell in love with her art. Most of her works look like they are digitally rendered, but they’re not. She uses oil or acrylic.

I felt this little spark inside me. LOL! I mean, I finally gained the hope I was looking for..having modern, digitally rendered looking art, merged perfectly with classic techniques.

So…you could probably imagine what I looked like when I found out she was coming here in the Philippines. Excited, ecstatic. hysterical. HAHA! So there I was trying to figure out what to do and where to meet her..and just as I thought things couldn’t get any better, I found out she was coming to my school. Yes, MY SCHOOL!!! *hyperventilating*

Wow. Another reason for me to love my school (if that was even possible). So anyway, now that I vented out my hyperactive mind, its time for you to get hooked and visit taramcpherson.com :) You will love her, especially if you feel the same way I do about modern art.

I was never really a fan of using flash in a DSLR camera.. but I gave it a try and worked with it, and here are some of my favorite shots. (I’m still working on using flash, though)
